Barcellona e Lima sono pronti per il rush finale per vincere l’organizzazione dei World Roller Games FIRS 2017.
What will be taking place the next February 21 will be a memorable Congress for the Fédération Internationale de Roller Sports: the final stage of the appointment of the first edition of the 2017 FIRS World Roller Games that will gather for the very first time all the World Championships of all the roller disciplines in one city has finally arrived. The city that will be awarded the organization of the first edition of the Roller Games will count with the presence of over 6,000 athletes coming from all parts of the world: 16 days of high-level competition, seminar, performances, shows and the Roller Village, that will light up the city with the most young and engaging sports. There are in fact nine disciplines under the FIRS aegis: Artistic skating, Speed Skating, Rink Hockey, In-line Hockey, Roller Freestyle, Skateboarding, Inline Alpine, Inline Downhill and Roller Derby: each one of them able to satisfy the tastes of any kind of audience, be it sporting or not.
A chance that neither Barcelona nor Lima do not want to miss: the two cities will showcase their projects during the FIRS Congress in Rome in the wonderful setting of the Salone d’Onore del CONI, in the presence of the delegates of the National Federations, the FIRS Executive Board members and distinguished national and international guests such as SportAccord President Marius Vizer, IOC Members Franco Carraro and Mario Pescante, AISF President Francesco Ricci Bitti, IWGA President José Perurena, ARISF President Raffaele Chiulli and ARISF Secretary General Riccardo Fraccari, EOC Secretary General Raffaele Pagnozzi, IOC Sports Department Director Christian Wessmer and, clearly, host CONI President Giovanni Malagò.
At the end of both presentations, scheduled for 12:30 PM, the FIRS will announce its decision in front of the Assembly and a press conference will follow in the press corner.
